Ozone is NOT safe you retard

First off, the cultivation forums are not for calling other posters retards. Its childish and needs to be kept to the Smoke Lounge. It won't be tolerated here.

Secondly, ozone generators are safe if they are used in an appropriate manner, as they are intended to be used. HPS lights are unsafe if you stand and stare at the bulb for hours on end, but they aren't intended to be used in that manner. No one has denied that generating ozone can be a health risk, but if you use them safely, they aren't.

sorry mom :frown:

But the fact of the matter is, most stoners barely even know what O3 is, let alone how to utilize it properly.
I've been in america long enough to have noticed most people don't give a shit about safety precautions

The argument that something is unsafe because people are morons doesn't actually make it unsafe.

Koons- don't just quote people for the hell of it or I'll think up a name for you too

But sirius, the argument that people are morons is only half the issue. The fact that the RECOMMENDED MINIMUM O3 levels are double the safety recommendation is what's I'm driving at. It's not just that the morons will hurt themselves, but even the intelligent people who follow directions will too.

The only people it's NOT dangerous for are people who do their own research, which is clearly a minority of the population (I'm looking at you koons)

I did some more reading on this, some stuff put out by the EPA, and it definitely does seem that a lot of the claims by the companies producing them are shifty, and there is a lot of potential for the "use as intended" recommendations that come with them to still expose someone to unhealthy conditions. I think I was getting ozone generators and negative ion generators confused. Anyways, if you do know how to use ozone generators, it shouldn't be a problem, but even the stuff that comes with them on how to use them can still fuck you up, not to mention that the claims about their capabilities for eliminating indoor air pollution seem to be pretty hyped up, so it might just be better to go with negative ion generators, used in conjunction with good, old fashioned carbon filtration.

Thanks for sticking to making that point, man. :super:

you know what i did in english class? I came to class stoned out of my mind every day, i chugged vodka in the back of class, i put dead fish in the ceiling tiles. i put a gallon of old milk and orange juice in the file cabinet before winter vacation. i brought snakes in a tied up sweater and let them loose during class. i didnt go to school to learn, i went because i had to. i didnt care, and i didn't fucking listen to that stupid bitch. and i still don't fucking care. i tore the pages out of her books and burned them, and threw away all the books in the class, two books per day.  :twobooks:

Great question; I'd rather end up having to use a smaller light while on a budget than to cheap out on odor control, if it is a security concern in that situation, and skimp on one's freedom.
