and another 50 of older hash that is great but older
i want to make oil with the 50 grams of hash, now i had one of those honey extractors with butane from Amsterdam but i lost it(i was also never sure if its to be used with plant material or it can be used with hash as well)
anyway now i want to figure out a nice way meaning that wont require a lab or ether and will produce nice hash oil
When you guys make oil do you wait until it completely dries to the plate before you scrape it or do you do you scrape it into your container while its still a little watery with butane and then evap it? I always used to wait till it completey dried but it was such a bitch to scrape up but then I saw this guys video and it looks so much easier and you dont loose shit getting it stuck to the plate.
i'd wait til it completely evaporates. If you scrape it up with the chemicals still in it there's a huge chance some of it will get trapped inside. It's a lot easier to let the chemicals evaporate when there's a larger surface area and the hash is in a thin layer. I always let my oil dry, but, at the end i heat up the collection dish on top of the stove to semi liquefy the oil. This, more or less, lets me scrape up the whole thing into a small area. Then i just pull up what i want with a paper clip and drop it onto a bowl
to the op- take a look at my hexane tek in the top of this forum. You can use it with hash. All you need is a quart jar, a can of hexane (which can be ordered online, bought at home depot, or bought at a chem supply store), and a baking dish. No extraction tubes needed, and the hexane is cheaper then the butane. Plus, if you really want, you can recycle the hexane through distillation.
