All About New Forum Requests...

Allow me to address the onslaught of posts and PM's about how this or that should have its own forum. While we do appreciate your ideas and excitement, it's very difficult to weigh what will actually work in terms of drawing a good amount of traffic at this early stage in our development. Therefore, we're probably going to be keeping things relatively sparse for the time being, such that our content is consolidated into a small handful of forums with broad-ranging topics.
Over time, we will evaluate which topics are receiving the most attention and that will play a significant factor in determining which new forums are added to the Growery. For now, let's just keep things as simple as possible. We fully intend to stick around for a while, so there will be plenty of time to suggest, evaluate, and implement new forums as we continue to grow both our membership and content.
With that being said, I cannot deny that many of you have some solid ideas, so feel free to use this thread to offer your suggestions and we will certainly consider them. Please remember that we're probably not going to act on many (if any) recommendations in the immediate future - but it will be beneficial to have all the suggestions placed in one thread for easy reference.
Any other topics that are posted with the sole intent to solicit a new forum will be locked or deleted. Thank you for your cooperation and your ideas! We will consider them all, but please don't feel offended if we don't individually address or immediately implement your suggestion. There's a lot of work to be done 'round here!

The drying, curing and storing forum seems like a good idea. I think alot of people need work on these techniques, at least from a consumers view.
I know that when I do grow, this is the most important info yet for me to learn.

I've started a Coco growers thread in the cult section.
Coco could have a sub forum of it's own as it differs from both soil grows and true hydro growing.
As for wiccan seekers idea of a curing and harvesting forum... Blurg, waste of space, an FAQ on the subject would be more than enough and I'm sure somebody would be happy to write one.

Yes, there will certainly be a section in on the Main Site GrowFAQ dedicated to various aspects of the harvest and curing process. I also tend to agree that a forum dedicated to that topic would become an exercise in redundancy, but I could be wrong.

yes, a section in the faq should be enough, a whole forum for it would be overkill.

That may just be a great idea son.

i think a forum for nutrients would be beneficial. Too many brands out there so selection can be confusing. Would be nice to have a place to talk about new and different things to do with additives, feeding schedules, new brands/mixtures coming out, etc.

i believe a nutrient thread in the right forum would be better suited. like hydroponic nutrient thread and soil nutrient thread.
it would be like having a spore forum on the shroomery instead of the strain thread

The video game forum could be added when there are more original members. IME most potheads video games.
I know plenty of stoners who can talk for hours about that stuff.

A hash, hash oil and tinctures forum would get good usage.

I suggest a beginners forum, with a cloning subforum. Without one, the other forums will end up inundated with the same shitty 8 questions.
everyone already knows the only way to get high snorting keif is to preload with jenkem.

Why not just use the main Cult forum as the catch-all? Developed and informative topics of substance can be posted into the appropriate sub-forum, or moved between the main Cult forum and the appropriate sub-forum. In the same manner, threads lacking substance that may have been posted in a sub-forum, can be moved back to catch-all main cult forum?
Perhaps a beginner's forum is a good idea, but too often when I see segregation of beginners/advanced forums, the beginners don't learn as much because a disproportionate amount of knowledgeable folk stay out of that forum since they just don't need it. To intermingle experience levels, provides a greater leaning opportunity to beginners imo. And as we are organizing topics via sub-forum for individual cultivation technique, I'm hoping there won't be as much fluff to begin with, since information will be well categorized and therefore easily referenced by the noobs.
