I'm guessing that they banned the companies from making products with trans fat, not from people eating them. Trans fats aren't natural, but are actually hydrogenated unsaturated fats to give food products longer shelf life. They are very bad for your health, and it's not that hard not to use them. All of Penn State's food does not have Trans Fats, I personally think it's a good idea.
