Outdoor UK Watermelon Candy Automatic 2024

Hello! This is the start of my first grow jounral. I am growing Watermelon Candy Automatic outdoors in the UK. Very much looking forward to seeing how this goes! I have a journal of this on the shroomery that I'll be updating on more as I use the site more than this one.

I'm planning on growing 2 plants, I germinated the first seed a week ago and now it is a gorgeous wee seedling! I just started germinating the second seed. I want to make it clear that this first grow is mainly just for fun, I'm not taking it super ultra serious, I'm just wanting to see what is possible considering the conditions up here in Scotland.

Anyways, here's a picture of the new seedling that was taken about 3 days ago:

I have taken the seedling outside to my grow spot already and checked on it today. Forgot to take pictures, sorry guys. But it’s looking actually surprisingly healthy considering the weather. I covered it with some form of plastic greenhouse and I put a hole in the top for a little bit of water and also gas exchange. I also put a hole at the bottom for this too. It’s been raining pretty heavy overnight but the hole has made it so my seedling gets just the right amount of water and it looks incredibly healthy.

Hello! Update time! It’s been a week since I saw the sprout of my first seedling and now it’s looking gorgeous. I’m surprised how healthy it looks despite weather conditions up here in Scotland. I did cover it with a little makeshift plastic greenhouse and I punctured a hole in the top for gas exchange and also so my plant can access small amount of rain water. The hole seems to be perfect size as it’s doing very well. It’s amazing how fast these plants grow. Take a look:

I also got the second seed to germinate and sprout which is great.
