Do you train for sport, or meditation or fighting? Why do you train?
I discovered this guy on YouTube today who goes to different schools all the time. He has a black belt but didn't practice leg locks at his original school. I got stuck studying Gracie Combatives and wasted a lot of effort. I am going to this local sport school and training from now on. I am going to learn the whole Trip, instead of the 36 techniques the Gracies teach for Blue Belt. Knowing 36 techniques is not enough for a Blue Belt. I want to know the whole Trip. The Gracies have all these criteria that exclude a lot of the process. I've been practicing Silat and Escrima since 1993. I know tons of takedowns and armlocks from Silat My battle plan is to take them down and lock them until the cops come! But for me, it is BJJ for life.
