wow ive been so busy latley. havent logged on in days. busy busy summer. trying to find a new decent job. hopefully i can meet more cool growery people soon.

actually, marines are very selective, they wont take just anyone anymore, u have to place highly on your asvab, they take your SAT and ACT into consideration if you have taken those tests, they look at your criminal/dmv records, they make sure your medical history is up to par, the army, if you don't have a long list of too many felonies, if you can sign on the dotted line, then u can pull a trigger.
you don't need the service.

This depends from recruiter to recruiter, I've also had a friend with two felonies being denied army acceptance.
But I've also had two or three friends who were accepted because all of their offences were non-violent, non-sexual, and often drug-related.
Apparently, this is actually becoming a big story at the moment, priors of soldiers, (often in Irag), who shot a civilian and then get chastised by even American media for a tresspassing charge at fifteen.
Why the fuck do you want to join the Army, anyway? Fuck the Army. Join a band or something. Enlist at BlackWater or some other private organization, you'll get paid MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better.

Marines are the most selective branch followed by the Air Force.
StillBelieve- if the Army is something you want to do, there is a way. Show a little persistance and you can get "felony waivers." It takes a bit of time and you have to go before an officer to petition your acceptance but it can be done.
My brother is in the Army and he had 3 felonies on his record and a couple drug charges. Been in for 1 1/2 years now.

I was getting drunk just about every night and spending quite a bit of money to do so. Out here weed is much more cost effective than getting drunk
