Nice! I've got a couple weeks off of harvest at work. Last week, we pulled 500 lbs of old garbage cannabis to send off to a distillate company. We've got an operation starting up in Florida and the distillate machine our extract guy here was requesting to go through it, was set up in Florida.
Since we do a wet trim, ugh, our hash comes out too dark and the extract guys can't pull on it too hard to get everything out. A lot of our trim yields too low so our extract guys don't like running it.
It'll free up some much needed shelf space for more materials.
Also, got a joint rolling machine, waiting on phase two with the hopper and something else. Up to 10,000 joints a day, we're buying wholesale joints now as it's too expensive to produce in house with manual labor. Minimum wage increases has caused some departments to vanish all together.

I fell into a cure room managerial position. I'm fascinated at how many different smells cannabis is able to produce. We've started growing some Super B than smells like I'm sticking my nose in a box of fruit loops!
I like the more musky smells too, like chem dawg or we started growing cherry slime and it smells like diesel fuel.
We've got some lemon G that rarely makes it to package because it looks too gnarly a lot of times, bud structure is too airy. Smells awesome.
Honestly, it's gotten flooded in Colorado, we're buying wholesale pounds for like $450-$600 I think.

Each one probably has their own procedures. Place I'm at doesn't really do much curing, we dry it and put it in plastic food grade bins for at least 21 days. After that, it really depends on what it looks like, if there's any signs of rot or mold. I do QC work as well and am getting some extra hands in next week to help go through for sticks, stems and eye sores. So, that's positive!
I like to get it down to around 60-62% humidity, just when the inner stems start to break and not bend and then bin it up. Takes about 6 days at around 60% ambient humidity with constant airflow over it at around 66f degrees.
Some strains take some burping to settle as they're more dense, others are good after one or two quick burps just to refresh the air.

Nice SS, my outdoor didn't make it in time, but I was running GMO so I didn't expect it to.
Looking at picking up a few more lights and finally setting up a grow in my work shop. I'm shooting for 6 lights, 12 plants per light in 1 gal pots to minimize veg time. Financially it's going to be tough, primarily because of equipment and electrical costs to heat it this winter, but if I can get a few medical patients on board after my first harvest, I should be able to make it work.
Luckily there is a legal framework for the patient/caregiver transactions in my state. About 6 hours away from me, there's also a sort of caregivers farmers market, where you can find a bunch of caregivers selling $100 oz of flower, $200 oz of live resin, as well as old school hash and anything else you can think of. If I lived closer I'd probably just buy from there, but my area's kind of dry.
