When I was trippin on shrooms the other night I stumbled on this song
I really shouldn't like it as much as I do. But it was SO goddamned funny. Its been stuck in my head for like a week now. It's just a song about not doing anything, wasting time. It sounds dirty, but really its not.
For anyone not familiar with the phrase, here's the Urban Dictionary definition. To deliberately waste time, usually to avoid work. "Quit fuckin' the dog, we don't want to be here all day".
I've heard it at various jobs in the past. When it clicked what I was listening to I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard.
It can sometimes be used when someone has fucked up too, interchangable with "screwed the pooch"
Enjoy, Next time someone asks what you've been up to, you know what to tell them
-------------------- Bassui wrote the following letter to one of his disciples who was about to die:
"The essence of your mind is not born, so it will never die. It is not an existence, which is perishable. It is not an emptiness, which is a mere void. It has neither color nor form. It enjoys no pleasures and suffers no pains.
"I know you are very ill. Like a good Zen student, you are facing that sickness squarely. You may not know exactly who is suffering, but question yourself: What is the essence of this mind? Think only of this. You will need no more. Covet nothing. Your end which is endless is as a snowflake dissolving in the pure air."
Today my crane operator asked me what I was doing this weekend, guess what I told him!?
