This place is a real wonder, none of the atrophies of life have corrupted its vigor - nor stained its glory.
There is no place we cannot reach, no sky we cannot fly. No tear we cannot cry. We are INVINCIBLE

Truly Glorious to behold
-------------------- Bassui wrote the following letter to one of his disciples who was about to die:
"The essence of your mind is not born, so it will never die. It is not an existence, which is perishable. It is not an emptiness, which is a mere void. It has neither color nor form. It enjoys no pleasures and suffers no pains.
"I know you are very ill. Like a good Zen student, you are facing that sickness squarely. You may not know exactly who is suffering, but question yourself: What is the essence of this mind? Think only of this. You will need no more. Covet nothing. Your end which is endless is as a snowflake dissolving in the pure air."

Lawd that looks nasty
I prefer to do an acid-base extraction to get a pretty white or off-white chloride salt. I'm a weenie when it comes to the taste of the cactus syrup.

You’ve seen it. He was surrounded by teamsters with picket signs. I erased the signs and wrote “paw for otd moderator” on them. One of them I wrote “demod koods”. It worked. We just need to get paw on staff, he’ll be a made man.

I thought using jimmy hoffa would of added an actual flare. If I had better cgi skills I would of put tie dyes on the teamsters.

Yeah. The sludge was definitely my least favorite way out of everything I tried. I feel like no matter what you do with all the trichocereus cacti, however, you're always settling for one issue or another.
I found that just eating the skins whole with some lemon or lime squeezed into chamomile and/or mint tea to wash it down gave me the best results. A little time consuming and still somewhat unpleasant but I've always had my longest and best trips this way.
Sludge tastes bad but was useful when a few of my friends wanted to try it, too. That picture was pretty much my first crude acid extraction. Just ground everything down and simmered it for a bit with some lemon juice. Also did the same for some Banisteriopsis caapi. Strained everything. Pretty much had trichohuasca at that point. If I remember correctly we drank the caapi about a half hour before the cactus slime. Worked pretty well but just wasn't as strong and lasting as just eating the plant matter.
A/B Extractions are nice but I feel like the trips are shorter and often don't have the same degree of visuals. It could just be that one winds up losing some potency and/or other alkaloids that compliment the usual phenethylamines in cactus.
A few other times I just used powdered skins and packed them into a bunch of gel capsules (like 30-40 size-00s for an ounce of matter), Chased it with tea and lime like with the skins. Had decent results but the capsules make everything take longer to kick in and pretty much adds to the already ridiculous amount of matter that one is consuming for the process.
Peyote has it right. Just eat a few buttons and that's the end of it. Enjoy the next 12-16 hours. But it still takes forever to grow (grafting can obviously help that issue, though). And they're harder to find.
