I worked super hard to get where I'm at and I'm still moving forward, but... I'm not happy. I'm not unhappy... I'm not depressed, but I'm not undepressed.
I don't get it. Sure there's adult stress. Bills, the world chaos, kids, and wife, but I'm just not... Happy. I'm on autopilot. I feel like I'm just playing the part.
Now that I got the realism out of the way, fuck you guys. Weird hippy tree fucking monkey skating sidewalk gremlin.

Happiness is the ultimate idealogue. I don't think it's ever been a mode of being. Should it even be the ultimate goal? You know? I need satisfaction because I hunger. My wants, needs, ambitions are all experiences compounded by my negativity. Men need to suffer a little bit. Compete. When you understand that, the moments that are happiness aren't failures when they end they are just the minor victories that make up our positive outlook. We need opportunities to be happy or it's basically worthless. I think during youth all those hormones feel a certain way and when they start going away we forget it's going to change us. The best thing to do is just be willing evolve and all that hippy bullshit.
The people who say they are unequivocally happy are all particular folks.
-the light of heart
-the liars
-the outliers
Basically the asshole, the lucky few, and the simple man. You can be any of those but I think just doin thangs is enough. I like having things to look forward to.
