I got a stiff upper lip because I'm half-dead! The walls of my life are crumbling around me! I'm running and I can't hide And I might try fucking suicide!

I remember that early Butthole Surfers jam. I still have that on vinyl. Here’s another early jammer

I saw them at the Masquerade in Atlanta in 2009 and they opened with Something. For a split second I felt like I'd been shot out of a cannon.

Wow. I saw them a couple times in the 80’s. I’m surprised they were getting down like that in 2009. That was like back their roots.
One of the shows I saw them was great but the other one was great on a different level. That other one was fucking horrifying.
I also saw The Jackofficers in NYC and it was insane. It wasn’t as intense as that Butthole Surfers show but the scene was bonkers.

Yeah that was the tour where they said if you want to hear Pepper just don't bother showing up.
There's an online game I fuck around with and my toon's name is Jack Officer, lol. I've got that CD somewhere. I think it's kinda rare. I never got to see them.
I'm a member of their message board and at the Masquerade show the merch girl wouldn't open a new box of t-shirts to sell me the one I wanted and I went on a mini rant about it. Imagine my embarrassment when I learned the merch girl was Paul's wife and he's a regular on the board....

I was surprised when they released that. I mean that’s a fantastic pop song.
Idk but you’re probably not old enough to have seen shows at the metroplex but is that place still known in memorial? That club was one of the wildest most legendary punk club in history. I saw lots of shows there when I was in high school plus I used to just hang out and get drunk even when there weren’t shows. Everything was so cool then. We felt like we were making history just by being there. It was way grittier than CBGBs for example. But then again I never experienced CBGBs in the early days.
