I would prune it up and top it. Make it spread out and get bushier, instead of letting it grow tall and lanky. You can also root the cuts you take off of it and make more plants

Sorry to hear that. You'll probably have better success with cuttings when the weather warms up. Not sure if it's winter where you are or not, but I know it's freezing damn cold here! I'm ready for the sun, and warmth!
With all my very old big container plants, I don't keep up-sizing the pots, until they become impossible to move around. I root prune all mine every year or so, then return them to their original pot with fresh soil. I have been doing this with my lime tree and palms for over a decade now, and they are taller than I am! Root pruning doesn't faze them at all either.
Post an update of your baby when you get a chance

You should try this with yours! How cool would a Jurema bonsai be Kregory san, BONSAI!

Thanks! It's not a Jurema though it's a Texas Ebony tree that I grew from seed back in 2009, but I'm sure you could do just the same with your plant. They are at least in the same family of plants and the look, grow similarly, hehe

Psychotria Colorata, no, but I used to have a Psychotria viridis plant, any similarities?
On a side note, before I moved from Tampa, I had a huge Jurema tree that I couldn't take with me, so I walked down the canal with it and planted it beside a big old palm tree. I wonder if it's till alive, and if so I bet it's a beast!
Just thought that I'd throw that in, not sure why though, haha!
You have inspired me to try and grow one of these magnificent plants again in the near future, thanks buddy
