That is the beauty of it, lack of information. It is Transient, permanent things lose their brilliance. And also there is contrast to good. Without those things we would just all be robots.
Edit: faith would not be possible if you knew everything.

I heard a Watts lecture where he stated "A belief in God is a lack of Faith"
-------------------- Bassui wrote the following letter to one of his disciples who was about to die:
"The essence of your mind is not born, so it will never die. It is not an existence, which is perishable. It is not an emptiness, which is a mere void. It has neither color nor form. It enjoys no pleasures and suffers no pains.
"I know you are very ill. Like a good Zen student, you are facing that sickness squarely. You may not know exactly who is suffering, but question yourself: What is the essence of this mind? Think only of this. You will need no more. Covet nothing. Your end which is endless is as a snowflake dissolving in the pure air."

Kinda my point, i think it does.
If its a simulation then death means nothing and we just wake up in ‘real world’ and go whoa!!
If its about attaining enlightenment then what we do absolutely matters. Cant level up until you’ve learned all the lessons.
I think i used the word ‘predetermined’ incorrectly in there. The lessons i need to learn are not the same as yours but none the less we will be faced with these challenges.
I really dont know what im talking about here.
Sometimes life seems like a sick game, other times it feels like a kind of physical and mental paradise, a gift bestowed on us, other times a living hell. Most of the time i feel like im being tested.

The fact that the opposite of being is non being, and that it could be so much easier for there to have been nothing at all, makes this life so utterly inconceivable. It truly is spooky that any of this is "here" at all, where ever that may be....

Oh I was not aware of the assumptions. If that's how you meant living in a simulation would be, then yea that's awesome. I was thinking more about the Matrix, where you live your entire biological life living a simulated life, and when you die in the sim, you die IRL.
Yea I think when you mention predetermined, it kinda short circuits the "how will you learn life's lessons" because predetermined means that your current iteration of existence in this world is set, and the lessons you learn in that life are already determined for you. If you mean that is more like the concept laid out in "The Egg", then yes it absolutely matters how you live each iteration, for the reasons you stated above.

If you consider the multiverse theory, that there are infinite parallel universes, each slightly different from the others, then there is a probability of 1 that an infinite number of those universes will be perfectly balanced to support the evolution of life and intelligent life. The other fun part about this is that it will seem so immensely improbable if that intelligent life thinks about it as "we happen to exist in a universe that is so perfectly balanced to support us" when in reality its more like "we exist to observe this improbable universe only because this universe is perfectly balanced for us to evolve and exist in". Other universes that can't support intelligent life are never observed because there's no life there to observe it. So really, the only universes that can be observed are the ones that are perfectly balanced to support the evolution of life.
I find that to be an equally interesting concept to consider.

First person off.
If we are leaving, its because the Earth is no longer a nice place compared to the alternative.

There are many methods to commit suicide, which would you rather perform? If you had to of course, this isn't a cry for help. Just if you got to pick what way you went out.
I'm sorta partial to a good ol fashioned hangin myself.

I have lost both from covid so far and it is not fun lol the only reason I didn't initially freak out is from my psych use. I have experience with my body changing drastically from psychs. So mentally I was able to not freak out thank God.
