Hello - my first post! I'm hoping to get some opinions on a cactus a just picked up from a local (to me) plant shop. It's a high quality, reputable independent plant store so I have no reason to question the integrity of the shop, but I do wonder about what they've perhaps been given by distributors?
This shop had two specimens of cactus labeled Trichocereus Pachanoii. One was very large (and very $$$) and the other was fairly small and not so $$ (within my budget). The large specimin definitely LOOKED the part of a true Trichocereus Pachanoii. The smaller one doesn't quite look exactly like what I'd expect, but it is smaller and perhaps just not mature enough yet? I'm still learning about cactuses in general, let alone Trichocereus Pachanoii.
At any rate, I did buy the smaller specimen to bring home. Is there any reason to think this is not what the label claims it is? Have I got an actual Trichocereus Pachanoi here? I'd love some thoughts if anyone is game to share.
