Don't come for me if this is a dumb question.
I have 11 plants in my closet with 18/6 light. I want to put them in the earth soon, but I don't want to fuck with the males. Can I put them on 12/12 light, figure out who is who and then plant them in the earth without causing too much stress to the plant?
This was recommended to me, but the closest I could find on YouTube was sexing clones from the plants and I just don't have the space for all this in my one bedroom apartment. Once they are in the earth, I can only go see them once every two weeks or so, so I would prefer to know that I don't have any secret boys hanging around creepin on my ladies.

You could, but the reveg process would set you back a few weeks.
You could also just send in samples for genetic sex testing, though that can be a bit pricey.

They test the leaves for the sex of the plant one leaf per plant will do, you will have to email them for prices. Sorry but Canada only eh.

No I have not tried it but I've read that they can even tell if your plant will hermi.

BTW you can clone your plants when you put them out and then sex the clones in the space you had them.
