came clean to the parentals today

Word is getting around about my friends and my use of Mary and shrooms so I just decided to tell my mom and my sister tonight. It went really well, my mom just doesn't want me to get into trouble. However she does think that what I am doing is wrong - her morals are bound to what is or isn't legal, which pisses me off to no end. Alcohol is fine with her cause its legal :shrug:

Yeah, parents tend to be practical on issues like that, while us younger folks tend to be more ideologues. She has a point in that legal repercussions can potentially fuck you over if you get caught at the arong place at the wrong time.

What we need is some sensible drug policy reform

not that it would necessarily help. but have you shown her any of the new articles that have come out recently pertaining to the positive side of psilocybin?

Sounds like your mom has reached stage four out of Kohlberg's six stages of moral development, which isn't bad. The real question is, are your motivations based in stage two or five (possibly even six)?
