Plants never entered flowering stage - need urgent advise!

Hey guys
I have a stubborn friend who insisted that the lights were on for 12/12 for the flowering stage as planned. Now the truth was that the lights were on for 14 hours a day, instead of 12.. This lasted for an entire month. Plants are in week 8 now, midflower according to nutrient scheme. They should have begun flowering from week 4 lol.
The plant never entered the flowering stage because of this, but he did however follow the nutrient scheme as if they were in early bloom - midflower as time passed.
Is it possible to save this mess? Can the plants be transistioned as normal, even though the flowering period nutrients have been given to a vegging plant?
The plant looks absolutely fine, it's just getting a little big. It's not a male.. Could one maybe continue with midflower nutrients for a while until you got good flower going, with the light properly adjusted ofc..?

I'm sure someone can provide more detail, but the short answer is yes. My understanding is that the flowering nutrients are provided because the plants need a different ratio of nutrients when they transition into flower production, and using veg-nutes on a flowering plant can limit its production rate. If your plants are still looking healthy, then they'll probably flower just fine.
You'll need to prepare for the extra bulk of the flowering plants, because they will still stretch to some multiple of their current size, usually between 1.5x and 3x depending on their genetics. The good news is that if you have the space and lighting necessary to support that extra bulk, you'll probably get a larger harvest
Hope this helps.

If they still look healthy they'll be fine. Just switch to 12/12 and start your flowering nutrient schedule over.

Thanks a lot for replies, buds!
Well that's a relief, would have been 2 months wasted. But now it seems as if i might get even more good bud to puff on. The plant still has plenty of nice space to stretch in. ^_^
