I am cutting a trail back on my property, but of course there are a shit load of stumps from small brush and large trees left planted in the ground.
I don't want to hire a dozer unless I have to.
How do you take the stumps out? AR-15? Dynamite? Acid? Black hawk helo?
probably let them rot and make fires on them....

Dig a 4" deep perimeter around the stump, get a long blade for a saw zaw, and cut around it.
It will take some time, but it is the quickest.

Cut the trees so that the stumps are 4-5 ft tall, then pull them out with a tractor. That's how I did it. You may still need to dig around the base and chop some roots.

For smaller stumps, digging/chopping them out is probably the best solution.
For larger stumps, you can cut the stump as close to the ground as possible, drill 1 inch dia. by 10-12 inch deep holes into the top surface, fill those holes with potassium nitrate or ammonium nitrate first, then will water and let it soak in, keep refilling the holes with water until the nitrate is full dissolved and soaked into the stump, then build a good fire over the top of it.
If you prefer to let them rot, you can use the same hole drilling technique but fill the holes with a high nitrogen soil mix and water (and maybe some fungal inoculants if you've got them), and slowly chop out the soft spots as the stump rots.
Sounds like you've got a fun time on your hands either way.

I heard about that rotting technique. Sort of helping it rot faster. Pretty interesting.

Yea, I figure I will use that technique too -- minus the sawzaw.
Probably use a mattock to chop through or an ax.
