Budding a plant
    #83455 - 07/14/08 10:21 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Alright im a little confused on how to bud a plant

I got alot of plants that I planted 2 weeks ago, and they are about 6 inches tall and very healthy...using 20-20-20 right now. Im growing them outside in PA and I don't think I can get a fully mature plant by the time the cold weather comes but im sure theyll grow atleast 3-4 feet for sure.

So how do I bud my plants when they are bigger, I heard if you put them under a regular 50 watt light, that it acts as darkness and the plants will begin to bud....right?

And how old do they have to be before I can bud em?

you can flower from seed

id say leave them outside and let nature do it's thing.

Are they outside or inside plants?

If they are outdoor plants they will bud on their own. Indoor would be switching from a 20/4 or 18/6 light cycle (veg) to 12/12 (flower).

I think that means outdoor.

Vegging can be anywhere from 14-24 hours btw (strain dependant).

18+ is the usual.

you'll get plants, but since you planted them two weeks ago they'll be relatively small and your yields won't be that good per plant (compared to if you planted in june/may).  First frost in PA can come as early as mid september, i haven't lived there for about 5 years now so i may not be too accurate with that statement.  You'll most likely be ok until early october though.
