Im growing reggie! (Update 5/17/19) [how to i prune flowers?]

These are reggie plants from bag seed, some of it is shitty reggie but some is awesome goowy reggie that can kick in a trip to overdrive from a local grower cause the stems were still bendy.
My goal is to collect seeds from this special reggie for my seed library to hold onto an share with the world.
I soak an let it dry out, its a regular soil mix of potting soil, jiffy mix, verm an perlite. Ive only fed them one time with pasturized manure tea with a tiny amount of red tomatoe ferts. Theres a few gnats buzzing around i havent had the pleasure to kill.
Any help willby greatly appreciated amigos.

I recommend building your own soil and avoiding compost teas.
That said, if you must, brew an Actively Aerated Compost Tea using fresh worm castings and an air pump. There are brewer designs all over the internet.

Heres an update on my problems, theyre in cheap potting, soil, sand, verm, perlite, manure, organic general fertilizer from chicken.
8 pots soil, 4 sand, 1 verm, 1 perlite, 1 manure, 1 cup chicken based fert.
The way i made manure tea is simmer it like pasturizing an mix with cool water an pour a dash on each. Ive done it with good results before an got some dank.

The key to gardening in soil is maintaining a healthy microbial population. The best way to do that is to start with the best compost you can find. Starting a worm bin is a great way to produce your own.
That soil mix doesn't sound very balanced, I'd transplant to some new stuff asap.
Below is the soil mix I use. I've had nothing but great results with it so far.
Base mix:
30% Canadian sphagnum peat moss 30% Perlite 30% Quality compost 10% Biochar
Amendments per cubic foot:
1 cup crab meal 1 cup neem meal 1 cup kelp meal 1 cup malted barley powder 1 cup dolomite lime 1/2 cup gypsum 4 cups basalt rock dust
I mix it all up on a tarp, using a 5 gal bucket to measure the base mix. 15 gallons is ~2 cubic feet. You'll want to let the soil cook for at least a week before use.

I dont have money to buy regular dirt now so i cant get all those meals, well no job so yea no money.
The only thing i can use for the next few months is stuff i scavage from peoples kitchen scraps.
The shroomery says its a ph imbalance an to much calcium. They said to use epsom salt to correct it, is that what i should do?
A few plants are REALLY BAD with fan leaves falling off an tips going yellow then brown.

Chasing ph and nutrient problems in soil is an uphill battle. You can try foliar feeds, compost teas, and whatever else, but it's much easier to just start fresh.
Since you have access to kitchen scraps, I'd look into fermented plant juices and starting your own worm bin.
As far as amendments go, the dolomite lime is less than $5 a bag, and helps to stabilize ph. Next time I would include some in your mix.

Thats what i figured ill try to scrap some copper maybe.
Thanks for your time.
Do y'all ever get spicy trim from fresh leafs? I just fimmed a few tops an ate the tender green bits an it was spicy like black pepper even after drinking something which I really wanted to do to the spice.
Well some damn moths left behind some leaf miners, slipped off effected ones.
I'm noticing each plant has is own smell when injured or during lst. Some don't have a weed smell more like sour wood leafs minus the sour.
Here's some updates, ph is were I think it should be but I still have 3-4 deficiencies.
I plan on moving them to tall 5gal plastic pots with better soil.
I'll upload pics when it let's me...
Ill get some fabric pots for these gals but thats the direction im going with lst an femming though, bushy bushy

I always love seeing the mystery result of bagseed grow (especially from brick weed). If flushed, harvested, dried and cured right, turns out lovely. The bud looks good, is that a seed in the first pic to the left?

No trimming of leaves needed. The only leaves I ever remove are dead and come off with a nice gentle tug. After all they are the solar panels of the plant.
