An Aquaponic Experiment

So I've had a 20 gallon aquaponics kit for about a year now. it's well stocked with tropical fish. I've grown chives, basil, even aloe vera out of it. so i figured i'm about ready to try some green in it.
now this is just bag seed. you can see them sprouting in the right hand corner. i had 5 seeds, all sprouted, but one got leggy and fell over, idk what it's chances are.
sprouting material is coco fiber.
i think there's only space for one adult plant, so i'll pick the best one in a while.
here's the link for the kit if you are interested.

it's pricey but works well, i've had mine for almost a year now with no problems.

Nice start but you will really need to support those seedlings or they will all fall over.

Its a good ideal to add a fan to keep the air moving and to strengthen the stems.

Led is nice for vegetables but you won't see anything worth while.... Get a 315($500) or at least a 600w!

weekly update # 1
plants staked with paperclips and twist ties ( i could probably find something better but oh well). couple small fan leaves showing. lost one due to it growing super long and snakey. 4 now. i like leds simply because they almost never cause burns.

shortly after this photo was taken, i did some lst on the 2 tallest plants, and tried topping another.

Wondering what happened as well, I was thinking of going with an aquaponics kit in the future so curious on how it worked out.
