 What really causes root rot in DWC, RDWC?

I’m new here… been wondering about this a while.
I have heard and read many reasons that cause roots to rot:
Low DO in nutrient water – roots get sick (short of breath so to speak), suffocate, die, then decay = DX: common root rot.
Some feel that Pythium fungi colonize, attack and kill roots so you
must kill the fungi first
Warm water > 70F kill roots
Cold water <60F kill roots
H2O2, Ozone and Clorox kills healthy roots cells and fungi
To many air bubbles break and kill roots
All kinds of things kill roots in hydroponic systems.
Then I have read in the horticulture magazines and cannabis forums that root rot and fungus infections work like this:
1st the grower fails to keep his plant roots healthy, usually a low oxygen (low unsafe DO saturation) develops in the reservoir water and the roots begin to suffocate, then the roots die from lack of oxygen and the aerobic beneficial microbes also suffocate. Then, the roots and microbes die and decay in the stagnant reservoir water, a distinct smell of death is detectable.
Fungi love and thrive in low O2 environment thrive especially when were are plenty of dying/decaying roots to eat. When the grower finally sees and smells the rotting mess, there is a rush for the cure and kill the fungi. The grower attempts to correct his root rot by brewing concoctions and applying harsh chemical to hurry and kill the fungi.
Many grower believe the fungi (Pythium and other fungal cousins) are the culprit and cause that killed his cannabis roots.
So what do you DWC, RDWC growers think kills the roots, starts the crop failure and invites the fungi to colonize and thrive?

Hey dudes, that’s >100% DO Saturation. How much room air and what kind of bubbler does it take to do this?

Are there any DWC, RDWC pot grower’s here that know anything about this? I’d like to see some opinions about this DO Supersaturation. If DO Supersaturation promoted root health, reduced grow-out time and prevents fungal (Pythium) outbreaks – that sounds impressive to me and worth more investigation.
Or is all this oxygenation stuff with DWC just too complicated and too much trouble to even think about?
