I took 1mg klonopin, 2 glasses soy milk, 2 shots of rum, 2 bowls, 1 apple, and good music
I'm feeling a bit better now 
How is it that a small bit of alcohol makes me feel less hungover when I'm hungover

alcohol is a minor anesthetic, thins the blood, and increases blood flow. All of which helps fight headaches. Hangovers are the result of dehydration from alcohol. The easiest way to cure a hangover is to prevent it. Drink a 20 oz bottle of water and take a few asprin before you go to bed. If you're really hung over in the morning, replacing the fluids you lost is the best way (next to getting drunk again) to cure a hangover. Things like propel, pedialyte, and gatorade will definitely help the headache in the morning.

A small bit of alcohol tends to the immediate withdraw effect right after a good drunk, assuming you can actually get more alcohol down, I'd usually just puke trying to take a shot the next morning.
Also, many people get more nausea the next day if you take benzos with your drinks. They ARE probably one of the best things for getting through a hangover!

Good answers, good answers.
I usually drink at least 3 bottles of water before going to bed when I'm drunk, but last night I don't even remember going to bed.
I also recently found out I can drink a ridiculous amount more of liquor when I put it in a flask instead of taking shots. It's so much easier to sip on throughout the night than trying to shove shots down your throat. For me, anyway.
But yeah, klonopin + fluids + food + 2 shots + weed has worked out pretty well. I feel a lot more back to normal, just still a little hazy and really tired.

I always get blackout drunk when i do the same thing. If i pick up a pint or two of whiskey and drink from the bottle, i end up drinking it faster then if i do shots. It's harder to keep track of how much you drank when you're not measuring it out each time.

i remember a professor of mine telling me the reason behind this.
it's something to do with one of the by-products of your body breaking down ethanol, and not to mention severe dehydration that goes along with severe drinking. one of the by-products of ethanol metabolism somewhere along the line of removing it from your body makes you feel like shit, more so at high amounts. drinking more alcohol will cause your body to focus on this new supply of poison, temporarily shutting off production of that shit-feeling compound and starting work on the new stuff. maybe i will bother him again for the full story..

also, keep in mind, you're more likely to get hungover drinking the amber liquors then the clears. Something about the sugars and other things present in the ambers that help contribute to the hangover, i'll have to dig up that article i found about it.
Also, clear liquor is the business persons lunch drink of choice. Leaves no odor on the breath, so you can still have that three martini lunch if you want without your boss being none the wiser

Then before crashing, drink as much as possible, like 2 large glass
And if is doesn't work, then I'm screwed
