Ok so I'm no longer worried about the break in the stem lol.

But unfortunately there's more bad news...... my first leaf problem. Just noticed so I'm still looking as I'm typing this. But let me kno what u think it might be.

I'm guessing maybe phosphorus and magnesium deficiency

Now definitely leaning more towards phosphorus

Well I'm saying it's phosphorus cause it's the older leafs that are effected and curling down and has purple red ish stems

I'm going to be starting at week 5 of the fox farm feeding schedule for soil at 50% strength.  Should be fine since it's over a month old now

leaves [Re: White-widow-dave]

I have found trying to use leave stems to determine problems doesn't work good they tend to stay purple on a lot of strains. It almost looks like natural leaf die off. I usually don't get leaf die off till about 5-6 weeks flower, but if leaves get damaged they can die off . I wouldn't worry much unless more leaves die off.

The leaves look a little  spikey, tips curling up so I think your a little to hot on nutes.  I think it's just some old damaged leaves from training that died off. Mag deficiency will show on newer leaves first as yellowing between the leaf veins . If you watch your mid fan leaves before and after you feed you will notice the color and shape changes slightly, after awhile you will be able to read those leaves and know what she needs .

Yea if I was growing mushrooms I could tell exactly what's wrong with them since I've had enough practice. But since I'm new to this I'm just all over the place lol

I am thinking next time when I buy soil I will probably cut it with some coco quire and a Lil more perlite.

Well I did water with a half gallon of water with a 50% strength nutrient solution at week 5 of the feeding schedule.

But so far the plant is still looking good no signs of more burn yet

Are you taking readings of what you're feeding them and what the runoff is?  You won't really have a handle on nutrition issues and fixing them without this valuable information.  You need to know the ppm and pH and keep records of each feeding so you can see trends in the numbers and confirm them with visual cues.

If you read I haven't used any nutes till The other day. I try to have a run off of at least half of what I put in it. No ppm checker so nothing there and I've been giving it 6.5 ph water

My apologies.  I understand your frustrations.  I'm trying my first hydroponic grow having had the last two as outdoor in an inhospitable climate.  It has been educational, and I'm only into week two of the veg cycle.

Here's some helpful information on pH ranges, control and testing you might find interesting re: pH How to Check pH

If you can, find some way of testing your ppm.  You need to know what you're putting in and what it is washing out to get a true handle of what's available in the kitchen for your plants.  I haven't got any handy links stored but there's a ton of info.  This is where you can starve, properly feed, or burn your plant.

Here is another related link from the same site.  Diagnose Sick Cannabis Plants

She is looking good man. New growth is a little yellow, she may be coming up on a growth spurt.

So what does that mean exactly?  Does that mean she needs more nutes cause the speed of growth since it's probably pretty much at flowering now.

I did feed it a 50% nutrient strength solution from the 5th week feeding schedule of the fox farm guide 5 days ago. The strength doesn't change much till like 3 weeks later if u look it up.

If you were running hydro I would say increase nutrients but your not hydro . I'm a hydro grower with limited organic knowledge that's why I don't give solid answers on some of your questions. she may just be on the verge of a lock out situation were flushing her may be all that's needed to bring the salt build up in the soil down to acceptable levels.

Or it could be lack of nutrients but I kinda doubt it but possible. I'm not sure when they hit stretch but mine get hungry around that time. I don't run a nutrient schedule I use the same strength solution from clone to harvest. I just have to maintain run off ppm under 700 and they are fine but if it's under 600 ppm I have to increase watering intervals to get it back up. As you can see I have a different growing style, it works good for me.

If there is any way for you to get a ppm pen that would be the best way to find the problem.

I mean I guess I could always do a large flush of some water try and get alot of run off and see what happens. Idk if my local stores have one so I'd have to buy one online possibly

If you have any hydroponics shop within reach they should have a good pen for ppm reasonably priced.  They're available online readily if that's more convenient as well.  It is one of your best investments in this hobby.  Note, it may also be referred to as a TDS meter (total dissolved solids).  As long as it reads ppm, you're in business.

My closest hydro store is an hour and a half away lol. I'm out in the boonies and it's not a very abundant store In my area.

Also with the ppm thing. Let's say I'm putting in a solution that's 1000ppm, then what should my run off be? Should it be less or equal to what I put in?

The 1000ppm sounds a little on the high side, some may be more comfortable with that though.

Personally, I would look for somewhere around the 700 range going in and look for ±30% in the runoff.  If you're too high out, flush with plain water or weaker solution until it reads right.  If you're too low, pour some more through, maybe a touch stronger, until you're there.  This works a lot easier in coco than it does in soil, however.  Once you get balanced it is easier to maintain.

pH is important too because it has to be in the right range to make the nutes accessible to the plant.  If you get lockout you're just pouring good nutes out the drain holes.

Interesting,  and the 1000 was just for hypothetical reasons.

And I'd say my plant is in straight up flowering mode cause I've got trichomes forming and buds forming more and more.  So maybe she is low on nutes for for flower. I might have to look but I think the ffof has a low nute ratio for flowering
