Morning,
The seeds I got were from 2013 and didnt sink, except for when i pushed them down. And after soaking them in a towel for 2 days they still didnt sprout. Also they seem small.
Is it possible these are bunk seeds? I heard if they dont seek they are bunk.

Give them another few days. I would test my seeds by squeezing with very little pressure. If it's nonviable then it should crush pretty easily. Exposing the semi hollow seed.

Seeds are only viable for about 5 years at this point don't expect many to germ.
To late now to know if they were bunk cause even healthy seeds would be at the end of their life span. Yes some seeds last years longer then 5 years but not a whole lot of them.

I would try to soak them in cup longer ive had a few that took a long time to sink. I leave mine in cup until they sprout then transfer to towel.

Just throw them in a glass of bubbled out or RO water overnight.
You said that you had been germinating them in a towel, but since you're having issues getting them to sprout, just leaving them in water for an extended period will let you know for sure if the seeds are good or not.
Within 12-24 hours the seeds should start cracking open, and within 48-72 hours you should see a small root protruding. If not, the seeds are meant for the trash can.
What genetics are you trying to germinate, if you know...?

Ahh sometimes can take almost a week.
Some have hard shells and you can sand them or i like to just crack the seeds along tge line they normally do. Usually does the trick but u have to be careful.
If crack one open and white flesh they are probably good
Use peroxide in the water. Keeps them clean and adds o2 to help get enzymes working inside. Also can try putting them in a bit warmer spot...
Peace
