One time I lit my new bowl when it was empty, and it immediately reeked of lighter fluid.
I think it's nasty how lighters spew this smelly shit. That's why I just said I wanted to get a refillable Bic ( http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/82414/an/0/page/0 ): so I can fill it with ethanol.

There's no mercaptoethanol (or other nasty mercaptans) in bic lighter fluid.

I do live in the U.S. (as you can see by my location  ) Apparantly butane isn't nearly as clean as ethyl alcohol.

Also, I did ask someone if it was ok to fill a refillable lighter with ethanol.
