Thanks for all the help and the advice I am listening full ear. I will post up more pictures as the grow takes shape. All in all, its been a good day. Thanks to all the growers for a fantastic welcome, Ill be sure to post some pics.

Yea man, a 250W cfl with an extra 150 light will be more than enough for a .36m² grow area. The cfl bulb alone will get you to 45000 lux, which is within the range of direct sunlight.

Yes my thoughts exactly, this is why I chose the CFL option, its cheaper and it delivers in a small area, I knew for a larger grow that it would be insufficient, but I am planning a smaller one. However I am getting the 80 X 80 CM grow tent instead, because I can always get more lights, so its a valid option for me as well. These CFL bulbs are a godsend because they have installed ballasts, which are otherwise vey expensive. Also easy to replace.

In the meantime, here is my work area, two 72 W cfl light installations, perfect for handling and nurturing cannabis plants. Also in my livingroom, my arts and crafts, yes sirs I paint:)

I have a new question. For the CFL Bulb, will a regular hood do? I am thinking of getting this:

the second hood looks like a better choice ,better foot print and the light wont be escaping out the sides ,

i would recommend a reflector with a cool tube personally ,it gives you more control over your garden as well the option to go with an open hood .
for an extra $50 it could save you from spending that or more fighting pest issues from heat problems as well loosing from your harvests imo

been through it all the hard way myself trying to cut corners here and there but ultimately i recommend following your heart!

though getting the seed popped is the hardest now

some people use paper towels
I think it's the water
maybe try filling a bottle cap full of water and then put a tissue and a seed on top
put something on top to prevent it from losing humidity, after 8-16 hours
put it in the soil and make sure the soil is humid but it needs to be warm too

it should pop

I've never had to transfer personally
