so i put my 10 year old seeds into a wet paper towel for 48 hours and so far nothing from 200 seeds! so i decided to through them in a glass of water with some gebberellic acid to see if i cant get these suckers to pop !if all goes well im in for a nice outdoor pheno hunting adventure this summer !
you guys use gibberellic acid at all ? its my first time !i got it about 8 years ago for feminizing seeds but never got around to ,i guess these days it is out dated for that .

What form is your gibberelic acid in? Is it a dehydrated salt with an added dessicant, or a liquid solution?
Chances are if it's a liquid, and 8 years old, then it's waaaay past its shelf life.
Same for the cannibis seeds. Even in optimal storage conditions, I've only heard of 5-6 years max viability.
Good luck though, hopefully the gibberelic acid helps

Stored correctly seeds just might out live us humans, honestly. I've never used this acid before, but I have many seeds over 18 years old in the fridge that I'm sure will pop, and produce amazing plants.

I've had seeds over 20 years pop but the vast majority will be dead after 5 years or so. The problem I ran into was I had all these seeds from killer smoke back in the day then I grew them out a few years ago and they came out killer but I was reminded why the strains of today are what they are and the strains of yesterday are in the past. They couldn't even begin to stand up to today's strains.

That may explain why I have so many old seeds in the fridge.

Yeah it was a bummer though. I was all jacked up about growing some of the strains I did in high school and they came out killer but I thought they would give todays strains more of a run for their money.
