The 2 large tubs are developing pins!

I spotted them first yesterday and snapped a couple of pics just now:

I checked the tubs and I have significantly more pins today.

It looks like one of my large tubs contaminated

It had the superior pinset of the two; it's a damned shame.
I've put it in quarantine in another room with its' own spray bottle.
It's green mold, and only in a little patch, so the fruits should be fine.

Well, anyway, here's what the other tub looks like today:

Not a bad pinset, but not the best. I'm hoping to get a half pound or so dry from the two when all is said and done.

I'm thinking I have to clean more and let the sub colonize for a longer period of time. I have 2 small tubs and 1 large one that are colonizing right now.
Also, I'm using the "bucket" tek, and may want to utilize pasteurization the next time around. And maybe use manure? We'll see.

The two large tubs have contaminated, but they each put out a decent flush.
Here's what I got from them:

:paranoid: Image removed. :paranoid:

I birthed 2 small tubs yesterday, giving them 12 days to colonize.
These tubs also had more spawn than the others and the sub
looks more fully colonized than the others.

The two small ones I started with are pushing out their first flushes now.

Here are a couple of pics:

Thanks man! I think I'm finally getting my groove back lol.

I birthed a large tub yesterday, and it's looking great.
There are only 2 small spots that look not fully colonized, but it
looks far better than my previous 2.

The jars I had down, but my spawn to sub ratio and colonizing times for tubs had to be adjusted.

If this big one gives me trouble then I know to let it colonize for a longer time,  up to 3 weeks at most.

I'll keep posting pics, but only of flushes. I'm starting to get paranoid lol. And let's be honest, posting
pictures of your shit on the internet is kind of dumb, haha. But the idiot in me still wants to share, I guess.

Thanks again man, and stay tuned for some more shroomage!

Another small tub is fruiting now:

Some pins just formed on another large tub that's been in fruiting conditions for
a little over a week now.

I'll be sure to update with pictures once the first flush has grown.

That looks strange for some reason.  You sure it was fully colonized?  Why is it so dark up top?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was. I let it colonize longer than my initial tubs.

I've noticed that saturating the tray causes the sub to look like that.

I am sure to take care of pooling water when it occurs.

I just noticed you're not going the polyfil route.  What is that, six quarter inch drill holes?

You eat any yet?  I hear they're different, whatever that means.  Take a taste did ya? :derfase:

I'm using shotgun monotubs and yes, the holes are a quarter inch in size.

I don't use polyfill, never have, and I don't even know how I would make those large holes required for that kind of setup.

I haven't taken any yet, but I've been growing this variety for years.
It provides a strong trip, but I can't say it's different than most varieties I've tried.
