Brown spots turing yellow leaves working from the bottom up

Not a first timer but not an expert, so these spots keep coming on lower leave eventually killing them then traveling on up the plant so it's apparent that its a deffientancy of nuturents I think. One that travels

Do you have any pics? Sounds like you have a nitrogen deficiency possibly but can't say for sure without more info or pics.
