I have a 26er of DIY absinthe, I made it 2 years ago by soaking 3oz of dried wormwood (homegrown) and 1 ounce of sweet mj , i used capt morgan white cuz i couldnt afford high proof. anyway started it 2 years ago, let it sit for a year then 1 year ago i filtered all the crap out of it, thought a year was a long enough soak. then i let it mellow in a cellar for a year. now i want to filter it with activated carbon to take out flavour, as it tastes horrid, its waaaay to fucking bitter to drink.
My question is, will polishing with activated carbon charcoal remove the THC or Thujone that i have captured in the alcohol? or will the carbon just filter out the undesireables?
So basically, i am asking if THC or Thujone bind to activated carbon?

my guess would be yes, it would "clean" at least some of the thc .....
just filter it with a coffee filtre ... see if that helps

Idk anything about polishing but I think a coffee filter would be fine, it's gonna taste bad no matter what man t it should get you going strong. Btw that's not absinthe at all it's just green dragon with wormwood in it.

the thujone is a ketone and therefore carbon based. i assume it would filter out with all the carbon in your alcohol leaving you with more plain ethanol and thc. it would taste better i know that much haha.
