Was the growery started at the same time as shroomery by Ythan as well?
Or did growery come afterwards? If so how long after and who's idea was it? I mean obviously it's modelled the same but was it Ythan or someone else who proposed to add a cannabis sister site?
How internally connected are the two sites? I noticed the code for uploaded images on shroomery works when pasted into a growery post even if that picture is not uploaded on growery..

I think it was Magashs idea actually.
Same platform as shroomery

certain things are linked
like the smiley panel, when a smiley gets added to one site it gets added to both
or if you link a picture from your gallery it treats it the same

I believe the site was started on 4/20/08. There's a shroomery poster who lurks here but only post on April 20th. Here's a post of his celebrating the 6th anniverery of this site, he made another this year for the 7th.

I'm a mod at the Shroomery also in the Cult forums and The Ethnobotanical Garden. We were getting shitloads of questions on growing buds so I kept bugging for a site just for bud smokers. Took two years of me bitching like a little girl for them to make this place and shut me up.
