The "K" in CMYK stands for key because in four-color printing, cyan, magenta, and yellow printing plates are carefully keyed, or aligned, with the key of the black key plate
Because I used to wonder.

In the visible spectrum, white reflects light and is the presence of all colors, but black absorbs light and is the absence of color. Think about how a prism works.

Please tell you were high when you fucked this up. White reflects all colors. It takes none into itself. This is why most growers use white for the walls. To reflect he light and it's colors back onto the plants.
Black is in darkness absence of light, but in color is the absorption of all light/colors taking each and everyone into itself, reflecting none. This is why black items in the sunlight get super hot to the touch.

Is white more effective than the tinfoil-looking inside of some tents? I use white, just wondering since we're getting science as fuck in here

This maybe the biggest/longest running argument in growing for many years now. Tho some mylar companies have claimed higher reflective values, many tend to have issues with hot spots in their rooms.
But on all forums you'll find lovers of paint, panda film, or mylar. And they all tend to be die hard fans of their choice.

You're just being stubborn. Do some research on light frequencies.
