Are you sure they are male? The pics are really close up and the growth in question is about half the diameter of dental floss, the pics from my shitty camera make it look slightly different than the way it actually does. Was just hoping it's not pre-pollen sacks since I have 16 plants with similar growth and a ton of money into the seeds

If it's males in the pics then I guess every plant I grew this year is a fucking male. Can't say it would totally surprise me since I was stupid enough to order from vancouver seed bank :/

Didn't say it was male. Just that they aren't pistils. What you're seeing is called a stipule

Oh word? I was really feeling pretty jaded thinking I have 16 male plants. So what exactly is a stipule? The growth in question on the plants hasn't changed since appearing, and all my plants are about 6 weeks old, I grew em under a single 54W HO T5, and they grew surprisingly well for such little light but are now doing quite well outdoors for being in the northeast near Canadian border somewhere it has thunderstorms 4-5 days a week

Also, is there something I can look for besides pistils to tell sex? Plants are all at least a foot tall now

Nope pistils are really the only way. Just be patient man.
I would pick up some literature dude. Do some reading on this stuff. It will help you gain a better base knowledge of what you're dealing with. Something by Ed Rosenthal or Jorge Cervantes

I agree, especially if you're sitting around stressing out for lack of basic knowledge (no offense).

if they grow and have balls they're male if they still look flower-ish and there are no solid lumps then it's most likely female

Not being impatient, just thought maybe what turned out to be the stipules were a sign of sex.. I grew last year, it was the first year I got decent buds, I know it takes a while.
Thanks for the link magash and info and help everyone!
