Rosin Tech: The Death of BHO

Rosin Tech is the mind-blowingly easy way to extract beautiful shatter-like hash resin – known as rosin – from your cannabis flowers.
In the following videos, hash master Johnny B shows us the method, popularized by Soilgrown Sal and featured on Hash Church, using a handheld hair straightener an ounce of high grade Medi Kush.
The method uses no butane, alcohols, or other solvents – just heat from the iron and a piece of parchment paper to collect the rosin.
Thoughts?

worth trying if you grow enough bud, its still nice to have some buds to smoke.

The upside is its solventless, its much safer to make vs bho (for the dummies anyways), and is an easy on the go method for quick results. Also for the legal states its a good way to get around having to make an expensive room for bho and co2 extractions and going dealing with state regulations.
The downside is youre only looking at a 10 percent yield, which is about the same as bubble hash, and You get different grades like bubble hash. BHO or Co2 will preserve terpenes better due to much lower heat used when purging, and the yield is much better (Upwards of 30 percent w quality material).
I am also interested in seeing what the Rosin tests at in thc/thca/cbds vs BHO from the same material.
My two cents and current thoughts anyways.

I've been meaning to give this a try. I bought a hair straightener at a yardsale for this. I don't have parchment paper and keep forgetting to get some.
Seems like a pain in the ass for quantity though. If you're just gonna press out a few grams for the weekend probably cool, but if you have a few oz to run its wildly impractical.
But the bud leftover still Smokes pretty dank I'd wager. You wouldn't have to toss it like you do butane soaked buds. So, wax AND edibles...might make it worth it.
I'll wait until someone invents something so I can press an 8th+ at once.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

You use a t-shirt press for large runs

This seems worthwhile just for the safety aspect alone. I'm sure somebody will come up with a machine that will do this in bulk and more efficiently. Lets see some pics if anybody is doing this.

I hate this technique... You get so much plant matter in here you have to pick through it. You get very little yield. As someone who makes BHO I would never give that to someone who really needs it for medicine. If you are just doing it for yourself then go right ahead. But for people who can't smoke plant matter, not for them.

I live in an apartment in a densely populated area, so solvents are a really bad idea for me. This tek is bootleg as all hell. BHO and super critical CO2 has come a long way since it's conception. I think this idea can lead to something innovative. If nobody takes an interest in it, it will never reach it's full potential.
If I was using a solvent to run good buds, I prefer a quick wash of acetone. It works beautifully for small runs. Nothing wrong with quality BHO either, just comes to preference.

I read somewhere that it works better with slightly wet buds rather than fully dried and cured. I'm not in any particular hurry to give it a shot, but good to know real experiences.
