Ok. So did this Cinderella go Herm? Help greatly appreciated.
    #777387 - 04/29/15 11:51 PM (9 years, 7 months ago)

Greetings everyone. It's my first time posting here, although I wish I weren't, because I'm here hoping for a diagnosis.

I do yard work for an old grandma down the street, and I was checking her plants... I told her, "I think this one has some male traits."

Now, there are definitely some nice buds on this baby, but I see troubling male-looking flowers. Here they be:

Now, this is a bud from the same plant.

So is it now Hermy?? What is there to do? Can it be reverted back to female?
Thanks in advance for help and words of wisdom.

Later!

EDIT: I read on grasscity: "Please note that occassionally specious staminate flowers will appear in the last days of flowering of a female marijuana plant. These do not drop pollen and their appearance is not considered evidence of deleterious hermaphroditism."

Perhaps there isn't much to worry about?
All the male parts are on branches very low on the plant.
And it is quite a mature plant, coming from a clone.

Yep. it was hard to see with your flash blowing the image out but yeah.
Looks like its just a couple on some bottom ones which is a common area in mid to late flower.
If its just a couple on a bottom branch and not overrun, just pick em off and proceed

Right on. I really appreciate it.
I know, I'll step up my camera game soon here.

Some of the male looking pods already flowered, if you can tell by the pics.
They aren't harmful though?
Some chopping of whole lower branches is about to take place.

Thanks again, I just wanna' make sure best as possible before I OK the thing back into its grow room.

That kind of pollen isnt as potent as true male pollen which opens up more like a flower petal.
Too much of it can definitely cause unwanted seeds.
You'll have to be the judge of that.

In other news your fingernails look painfully short :cookiemonster:

Right on. Good to know.

Haha! I had a feeling someone would point that out.
This herm situation stressed me out! I had to munch.

Doesn't it??
I didn't wet paper towel them. I removed the herm from the room, and took off all the lower branches (not much of a loss, teeny lil' branches,) leaving the fan leaves.
All the male flowers were at the bottom, and I meticulously searched all the plant to ensure elimination.

Then I put it back in the grow room.
Any chance of further pollinating another plant?

I guess I don't mind some seedy stuff.
More plants.

I'll have to peep some bubble hash methods then.
It sounds tasty.

That's what "Grannie" said when her overwatered over MiracleGroTM fed overstretching underlighted yet light leakage affected plants "miraculously" hermied.

LORDY!

ps those are full on male flowers, and not just a few late male nanners. that plant is in no way near maturity, it's barely begun flowering.  those will absolutely pollinate your room with their yellowy spreading pollen...so "grandma" wants seedy weed, she got's it bro I mean "granny".

Hey Hermie,

Fill out your form, bro.  We can't help you with your sex issues unless you fill out the mother fucking form.  Cause you are fucking up your mothers with something you are doing to them, and it ain't silver and you want it to be doing that.  Your crop will be all seed, and no weed.

Bro.
