Indoor T5 Soil "Think Different" Auto
    #776866 - 04/24/15 12:02 AM (9 years, 7 months ago)

Hey guys and gals. This is my first post at The Growery, so I'll be starting the journal just before the halfway point of my current grow at Day 35 from the planting of seed.

"Think Different" Auto. Grown in soil, 5-gallon Air-Pots. Veged and flowered under a bank of six T5 fluorescents on 24/0, supplemental LED side lights added for flowering. TD strain is a Sativa dominant. 60% Sativa, 20% Indica, 20% Ruderalis. THC Level is 16% to 18 % The genetics come from a special AK47 hybrid known as AK420. (AK47 is created by mixing Colombian x Mexican x Thai x Afghani)

Day 40 from seed and there's bud everywhere I look. Lots and lots of tops. Still about 40 days to go.

Good stuff man.  Welcome to the growery.  Hopefully those plants put some killer smoke in the jars.

Might want to give them a look over.  After watching the video, seems like you have mites biting your plants. You might be able to see them under the leaves.  I personally wouldn't spray anything on the flowers, but maybe treat the soil and clean the room really good between grows. They get out of hand rather quickly lol.

Any particular reason for using autos instead of photo?  If you have a small space for a mother, you can keep her going with a CFL and take as many clones from her as you like.  Endless buds lol

No, there's no mites. I know the point in the video you're talking about and when I originally saw it, did a double-take myself. The mylar on the wall has a layer of dust that looked alarmingly like pests lol but no, like I said, it's dust. All it took was one old box opened in front of the fan and boom, little white specks of dust....anyhoo. It's all good.

As for the auto, it just comes down to space (I have none) and the ability to control the environment. 12 hours of darkness was out of the question. This is my first Auto but certainly won't be my last. I'll have a whole room to use come fall.

Ahh, I might be talking about a different thing.  If you look at your canopy, there are little tiny white spots on the leaves. If you can't wipe those off, that likely means something is sucking the chlorophyll out of the leaves.  Problem is they are usually too small to see with the naked eye.

That's why I had to ask about the auto lol.  Works out well for people in your situation.  It's interesting how far they have come with the autos.

Yeah, those white specks are part of the dust storm that I introduced. I checked and it does easily come off. I used a magnifier too. So far, no pests.

Auto's are awesome. I'll probably buy one more at least before retiring to my own seeds. I have my eye on this one. Tha Shiznit. 20.6% THC.

I'm just starting to notice trichomes popping up and yeah, it's quite fragrant now. My wife and I live on a busy city block and we were crossing the road to get to our car and halfway across I caught a definite odor of the sweet plants. I looked over at my wife and she clearly caught it too. I was like "that's not us is it?" She goes "no way" "that's gotta be someone else". I'm pretty sure it was us lol.

Hmmm, might want to get that under control.  Law enforcement wont give me trouble because I'm a registered patient, but somebody will break into my home and steal my stuff if they know I'm growing.  Hawaii has some of the worst theft in the country  :blowmybrainsout:

Welcome aboard, and nice grow!.:wave::shroomeryhead:

I just learned (really learned :takingnotes:) about Autos last year, pretty much here.(Google)
Then I won some seeds here(Thanks Gorilla:hatsoff:), including 1 Critical auto,
and yea, she finished in 9 weeks from seed.
She was the first plant I've harvested in 7 years, and was as good as anything I tried to grow back then.
I want to start about a dozen autos 9 or 10 weeks before Xmas this year.
Who wouldn't want a little tree for under their tree. :awesanta:

I started my little indoor ghetto grow in Dec., and 5 month later,
I have 8 strains going.
