 utilities all included rental properties ,

im going to be moving in a couple of months and I see a lot of places with utilities included in the rent ,I was wondering about how these properties work and if they can track hydro consumption of individual units ?

Your landlord will know the average cost of utilities expected. Someone on rollitup reccomended calling your land lord and letting them know hey I have a couple high end gaming computers and my electricity should be expected to go up X amount and is that acceptable and would you like me to pay a little extra on top for utilities, or, hey, I want a flower garden outside and to grow some of my own veggies is watering that much okay?
I like the way dude on rullitup wrapped up what he was saying: Now you're a responsible proactive tenant who wants to pay their rent and bills. Your landlord now loves you.

yes but can they track each unit in a high rise that has a couple hun units ?
how does it work I will take no chances .....

I don't know if im being clear enough ,can they monitor each unit ,do they monitor each floor or do they just get one huge bill for the whole building and nobody can track who is using what ?

I understand what you are saying I think but can provide little more than speculation or the fruit of google searches at this point.
I would assume they are able to track it by apartment for a number of reasons, finding broken pipes, asking a tenant to please stop leaving their air conditioning on all day, or spotting other abnormalities that may point to a more serious underlying problem.

They do it by having the electric company read the meters.

Being a little experienced at growing I would never do this. Nobody knows my bill but the electric company and me.

i as well would rather deal directly with the hydro company ,i wouldnt mind getting what i can from these big business bastards ether if i could saftly be untraceable .
