I understand that pcs have better graphics and allow you to mod, but for those of us who have friends and family come by, pcs just won't cut it.

Oh man i had pc in my head beford i clicked this post so that last option made me laugh.
Also your argument is invalid about the keyboard. A MICROSOFT xbox control works perfect with MICROSOFT windows. On some versions without drivers. There are also usb ps controls and im sure they work too.
Some games just suck mouse and keyboard.
so yeah pc with xbox or ps4 control > xbox or ps
Plus you can sign into xbox live for certain games like dead rising and even chat with the xbox headset to people on consoles. You can not play games cross platform though.
no xbox live subscription, and you can alt+tab to netflix or pandora or the growery while you run games in a window.
Then your family and friends and you look fucking

It takes getting used to because some things are usually different. I know call of duty has server lists instead of just quick join.
sometimes there are HUGE differences like battefield which is 64 players on pc vs 32 on console.

I think if i had to choose, after a regular xbox and a 360 im gonna say a ps4. Just because xbox live is stupid and expensive. I shouldnt have to pay xbox live in addition to also paying netflix.
Netflix should be available to non xbox gold members. Its like they charge you a subscription, in order to use another companies subscription.

I went with my 360 because I could burn games and play online too (this remains true today). If c4eva comes out with a mod for the One. i'll be getting that.

let me ask you a question,
what do you currently own?
do the people coming over have a system of their own? if so which one?
I'm a PS fan boy because I HATED the original Xbox
but they've stuck around for 3 generations so I have to admit a small defeat
ultimately it comes down to game preference
and if you like playing online you probably want the system that all of your friends have so you can play against them

As of now I have a 360. Most friends have either the 360 or the one, but I could always make new friends...
I'm thinking I might get a one. I can't stand the ps controllers...

So really it comes down to who will have the better games.
You don't have to pay to play on the ps4, but xbox will always have more people online.
Ultimatley, it all comes down ro who has the cheaper console.

I hate the xbox controller
it's going to be little things like that that make the real difference these days
most games will show up on both systems and there aren't any huge hardware differences
