thanks!
today is day 66 of flower. just checked the trichomes, and they're mostly cloudy, some amber, and some clear. should be chopping them down in a few days. hopefully i can wait until the full 10 weeks is up, but im sorta wanting to take them down because thatll be a 2 and a half week flush. seems a bit long to me...

Yeah man. its tricky sometimes also to get to a point when they're dry too. You want the soil really dry at harvest day but sometimes that's not even possible if you take the flush too long because they can reach a point of life longevity where they're apparently all done consuming water

my light turns on in a little over an hour. its day 69 today, and ive been flushing for 14-17 days. 17 if you count the first "flush" of floranectar and sensizym. trichomes are pretty much all cloudy. i didnt see many amber or clear. id wait a little longer to harbest if i hadnt started flushing so early.
im going to go through each plant and cut off all the fan leaves, then chop the plants at the base and hang them upside down in the tent, with a fan blowing against one of the walls. not sure how fun the dry trimming is going to be, but i figured id try something different this time around.

Raad, I want to see pics.
I think I'll be going with dry trimming as well, I was originally going to wet trim but I've read a lot of stuff online that makes it sound like dry trimming is the way to go.
I'm curious if you notice any significant difference.

for sure man. i have 2 plants hang drying in a small tent i harvested last night. i pulled all the fan leaves off and left the rest of the leaves on, so ill have that to compare against a half-assed wet trim that left some sugar leaf on still with these other 4 plants.
i see advantages to both ways, but i always seem to fuck this part up, and since i have so much to work with, im going to try a few different things to figure out how to get the best possible end product.
once its dried and cured we should meet up at the lazy lion and ill smoke ya up.

sounds good man, by the time your stuff is cured I should be chopping my ladies down as well, so we should have a pretty good spread by the end of the month.

I flip flop between methods too. It also depends on what's convenient at the time. Its nice being able to just hang em if I don't have time to face the work....
You can definitely achieve similar results with either one.
Wet trim seems faster to me. I usually do that, and as soon as the outside of the buds is a little dry, I load it into paper bags until just the bottoms are covered and wait 3 or 4 weeks.
No matter what the method, a slow steady dry with less air touching the bud directly produces the best and smoothest taste. I noticed with the bag method, after my final jar stage cure, when I open a jar of the paper bag dried bud, the aromatics just kick me in the face.
You'll be thanking yourself for that long flush!
