So I'm in the process of moving my grow and figured this would be the best time for me to make the switch from soil to hydro.
I currently run 24 plants in bloom under 6k in a 10x10 in a 3 in 3 out a week perpetual. I'd like to still do either 3 a week or 6 every 2 at the new place if that is feasible in hydro.
My plan is to run a 24 site ebb and flow bucket system in bloom which will be a sealed 10x10 with the 6k.
So my main question is would the perpetual I run in soil work the same in the ebb buckets? The next question would be what system would be best to use in veg. I was thinking flood table or would another bucket system be the better choice. Any thoughts ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Well I went with a green trees multiflow. I got 16 buckets for veg. I got 24 buckets for flower. I have 6 of the 24 on a seperate res for flushing in. I decided to pull 6 every two weeks. I plan on using Jacks pro hydro for nutes. Here's hoping it all goes well.
if you're blooming seperate harvests in the same system at the same time how are you going to deal with your plants needing different nutrients at different times during flower?
Going to have six buckets on a separate res for flushing if I need to. I ran Lucas formula only in the same perpetual set up in promix with no flush. There was no difference in quality without. If I end up needing to in ebb and grow I'll be set up to.
As for boosters the only thing I use is tricantanol and I run it all the way through. It is really the only additive in bloom I've seen make a visible difference in my crop.
With jacks everything I've read says it should be ran alone anyway. With the exception being some people tweak ppms and the calcium nitrate in bloom. I intend to still run the tricantanol but as a foliar.
I can still tweak things later on. I just want to make the transition and learning experience as simple as possible starting out.
