COMMERCE CITY – Despite complaints from neighbors about the smell, the Commerce City Police Department says no charges will be filed against a family that is growing more than 70 marijuana plants inside a home.
Police started investigating a home on Olathe Street after neighbors complained of a strong odor.
Commerce City authorities say they found 76 plants inside, but the owner showed police a medical marijuana application that indicated that the grow operation was legal.
The Adams County District Attorney says no charges will be filed.
Police say the family has voluntarily agreed to stop the grow.
