Man I really miss the good ol days though. It was more about story and gameplay back then since there was a limitation on the hardware. The days of the JRPG and shooting tiny aliens armed with tranquilizers in the face.
I'm kind of excited to see how these headset VR things are going to turn out. I get motion sickness extremely easily though, so I might not get one before giving it an extended test with it first. I really want to see star citizen with the rift.

Cheezy, if you like the story/gameplay aspect I would really recommend arcanum. Seriously.
GOG (good ol games) is a great site for finding older games or ones not commonly in circulation, btw- I like them a lot.

This is totally a game I would have played. GoG is the shit. I grabbed the King's Quest series from them for nostalgia sake.
Btw, how are the N64 emulators for the pc? I have a modded Wii console that has the emulators on it and they work pretty well. It is just the screen is so dark with the wii hooked up into my HDTV and n64 games are really hard to see that way :/

I had to get used to my 3d tv, I would get dizzy when playing games on it but I have a lazy eye and my depth perception is screwed up to begin with

I use project 64 it runs really smooth but there are glitches with some games and it's hard to get a good controller that can mimic the n64 one

I can't even handle 120hz on a hdtv, let alone that nonsense stereoscopic 3D stuff. I used to sell TV's for years, and I feel that most TV's technology is best suited in the retail stores rather than the home. I should never have to "get used" to not throwing up just because I was playing video games in my living room for an hour. Sure, it looks cool, but what is the point if it can't be enjoyed by myself or my guests?
The controller was the biggest reason I haven't checked out a N64 emulator in years. It was super buggy back in the day and the controller was too unique to adapt. Glad to hear it's doing better though. The younger generations need to get a taste lol.

Also monetary value. I get you on the sentimental tip though, don't get me wrong. But I make half my living off hustling old toys and games. Look up your games values and be cautious lending them out...some SNES games are like fuckin $300+ titles. No shit. SNES is hottest right now.
There are a lot of remasters coming up. Unfortunately a lot of old school games have licences that have since been sold and split up multiple times.
My most favorite classics are the Spyro series, Tomba and Grim Fandango. PS4 remaster of Grim comes out in 2 weeks. I'm fucking losing my shit. That game changed how I looked at games forever.
Edit:
Theres what I've got so far. I sell all doubles. I buy at garage sales and thrift stores. I've spent maybe...shit, $300 max for the whole shelf. Made thousands on paypal hustling my extras.
Toys all gaming related, probably actually what I spent most on out of the whole shelf lol. I just grab one or two when I'm out and see 'em. 5 foot bong in pic as a bonus.
