Classic N64 games coming back? 2

Banjo-Kazooie (1998) on Nintendo 64 was one of the finest adventure games of its time, a delightful exploration of ideas about fairy tales and friendship.
It was just one of the great games produced and owned by Rare, during its Nintendo heyday, including shooter Perfect Dark and fighter Battletoads. But now that Microsoft-owned Rare seems to be stuck knocking out Kinect Sports games, can we hope to see updated versions of these classics for Xbox One?
According to Ken Lobb, creative director for Microsoft Studios, the company is planning to resurrect classic Rare franchises at some point in the future. "Will there ever be another Banjo, Viva, Blast Corps, Battletoads? Yeah, someday," he said, speaking on the Inner Circle podcast. "We know there's value. We have a lot of passion internally for each of the games. And we have surprises in store in the near and long future."
He said that Microsoft updates trademark ownership of these franchises, and that they come up in discussion on a regular basis. Games like Banjo Kazooie and its sequel Banjo Tooie were re-released on Xbox 360 as digital downloads in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
"Understand that what it's really about is we want to build this suite of IP [Intellectual Property] that we can add to a list of, 'let's build some new things, let's build some recent sequels, and let's do some crazy stuff like dig back into our portfolio of IP and build some games that people love,'" he added.
"I think the best message to give to your listeners is we love the old IP as much as you do. Please be patient because we can only build so much at a time."
It would be sick if they made a Conker's Bad Fur Day 2.

They plan to re-release The Legend of Zelda:Majora's mask for the 3ds. That game was so much fun.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

I jus installed the dios mios booter on my wii along with Wii64 Wiipsx and ton other emulators on my wii today. then I downloaded every n64 game. It was only like 5gb. so been fucking around with that all night. pretty sweet got all the crash games n like tony hawks n couple other shits on playstation. Happened to read this article before by coincidence. I saw it as microsoft jus trying to milk a dead horse. especially since they already ported perfect dark and banjo n shit to xbox. i mean if they came out new original material with the classic titles it would be awesome. but honestly do you think microsoft is going to put forth the money and creative effort needed to develop quality content for banjo fucking kazooie or any of them.

Golden Eye FTW
I still play my N64 from time to time as well as my SuperNintendo. Never could give up the old games, so much sentimental value.

Perfect Dark was awesaome but they did try to make one for XBOX and it sucked ass iirc
I'm not sure who owns Battletoads but it's ripe for a remake/reboot

I own Turok and was very excited to play it again but was slightly disappointing with the mapping- for some reason I found it very disorienting and hard to navigate the second time around.

Perfect dark is the funnest, most challenging game for the n64! They remade the 64 version for xbox, better graphics, i never played the 2nd one. The voices on that game still crack me up. Doing missions on multiplayer on the highest difficulty takes A LOT of communication and precision i haven't experienced with any other game.

Does anybody remember getting blisters on their palm from playing mario party because of how many mini games make you rotate the stick? Everybody I knew had that and whooped analog sticks lol.

I've actually been on an old video game kick recently, mostly for computer though. I just finished Giants: Citizen kabuto (2000) for old times sake, I got Deus Ex (also from 2000) installed and ready to roll again, and of course the masterpeice- Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magickal obscura (2001). Best game ever man, It would feel easy to say that fable was based off of it. It's the grand daddy of all-immersive total control RPG's.
Also been hitting up Age of Empires 2 (2006) a lot, there's still a good sized group of people that play it online believe it or not. It's via Steam now.
Other than that I've been glued to the screen for FarCry3, and have played way too much of it in the past 2 days.
