BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A mother of three is accused of running an unlicensed day care center in her home, where she allegedly has a sophisticated growing room in the attic. Robin Fortner, 42, of Buffalo, was arrested after police searched her Parkside Avenue home.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said officers executed a search warrant in the home Sunday morning. During the search, they report finding nearly 300 marijuana plants, and an area that appeared to be a day care center. The sheriff’s office said she admitted it was an unlicensed center.
Fortner’s three children were in the house at the time of the search. They were turned over to a relative.
Fortner was charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana, acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and unlawfully growing marijuana. She was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
