sorry to burst your bubble but you'll never get a cut of it. you'll have to make your own if you can figure out what it's parents are. but as a grower in the colorado industry, i can pretty much guarantee you that you wont get a clone of it.
1, not many dispensaries sell clones, and if they do, they definitely won't sell you a cut of the strains they made.
2, the way the marijuana system to set up here, its not as easy as youd think to put clones into the METRC system to be able to sell to a patient. it gets complicated on a lot of different levels.

So in a nutshell, there is a lot of red tape when it comes to introducing a new strain on the market to patients?
Just trying to understand. Whats the METRC system?

it's the state tracking system we use to track our plants and move product around. from what i know, to get a strain in or out of a dispensary, is difficult, unless you break the law of course... but thats not something i'm going to do, or anyone at our company would do. i think the businesses that sell clonesm like karmaceuticals, have to get a certain license to be able to sell clones. not exactly sure, just a guess.
where i work, we don't sell clones. and i know its been hard to get new stuff in, and it's the MED (marijuana enforcement division, state mj dept) that makes a bunch of stupid pointless rules, then changes things and expects us to figure it out. from what i've heard, the only way we could get new genetics into our grow, is to get them from another dispensary, and transfer the clones from one dispensary's grow to ours in the state system. so its some weird closed system, unless you spend money on a breeding facility license and breed your own, which is what we're setting up at our new massive grow.
from what i understand, things were easier back before the MED came into existence. but their existence, rules, licensing, and regulations are what keep the feds out of here.

I'll tweet tommy chong and see if he will tell me what the crosses/parents were that made chongstar. 
if thats as close as it can get for now then find out that info and have magash work his wonders on making a batch of seeds

Get me the genetics and what traits that people like about it and I'll give it a go or find out where to get a cutting and I can make feminized seeds from it.
