This is my first time with autos.
Starting off with a hydrofarm agrosun t12 full spectrum 20w fluoros, 5850k, two tubes. Will be supplimenting with 6500k CFLs when needed, and switching to 2700k after vegging. Using two different kinds of soil.
Plant 1 is in Roots Organics Original Potting Soil Plant 2 is in Living Solutions 3 Month Feeding Indoor/Outdoor All Purpose Potting Soil (bought at Walgreens, I think)
Day 1: paper towel germination Day 3: 1/4" taproots Day 4: 1/2" taproots, planted in 3 gallon pots Day 5: both plants broke soil today Began 16/8 light cycle (would prefer to use 18/6 or 24/0) Day 6: 1" sprouts doubled by the end of the day Day 9: several inches tall Day 13: pics Day 14: too much stretching! I keep them no further than 1-2 inches from the lights. I'm pleased with the leaf growth though. Day 15: cut some straws vertically and placed them on both seedlings for support Day 21: my dog ate my plants. they both had three nodes last night. I have no idea if they can recover from this, with no leaves to take in light. I'll wait a day or two or try to clone, then start over with some fem seeds that aren't autoflower if these two don't make it.

They look like they're stretching, I'd put the light within a few inches of them.

Oh yeah, they're definitely stretching. I've had the light an inch and a half to two inches away from them. I've never had this level of stretching before. I just pushed more soil around them to support them better. In the morning, I'll have a better grasp on what to do for them.
