Magash, I'm actually fairly surprised for your results. I usually look for something like PK 13-14 for a bloom booster which provides double the elemental K vs. P. This is in ebb and flow with rox right? I'm going to have to investigate again. What dosage do you use for the Liquid and Powdered KoolBlooms as that can make quite the difference if you're not taking elemental breakdown into consideration. The KoolBloom powder could also be supplemented with some potassium silicate to bring the ratios to Liquid Kool Bloom + additional Si.

I use 1 tsp per gallon of the liquid added to my current flowering mix which changes with the strain.
Powder is a 1/4 tsp per gallon.
With the results I'm getting right now I'm not changing or adding anything.
Elemental breakdown, I haven't heard those words in years and no I don't worry about it.

It's all very relevant to finding the effective dosage range and identifying what's beneficial, benign, and in excess to the plants. If you were to run the Kool Bloom liquid and powder with different base nutrients the results would vary. If the optimal amounts of K aren't met with the base nutrients, the Liquid Kool bloom will prove to be far superior as the Liquid is running a 1:2 ratio and the Powder is running around 85% the amount of P vs K. I'd be far less surprised if you were to say the Liquid proved to be far superior at the dosages you mentioned the Liquid has all the phosphorus but more potassium.
I have a hard time seeing a vast improvement with the dosages you're using as the KBL @ 5ml = 68P/130K and the KBP @ 1.25 gram/1tsp is N6, P65,K76 virtually identical amounts of P but with less K, I couldn't see reducing the K to be a determining factor in a significant yield increase. Whatever it is, I want to try it, the powder is interesting as it's cheaper per dose, and probably a bit more ideal if you're 1. dropping N late flower 2. running coco due to the extra K.

Yeah but I don't use the liquid for the NPK values I use it for the hormones and the vitamins in it to help the buds stack. Then the powder is to help the buds harden and mature faster. That's what they say and so far that is what I have been finding.

That could be the case too. In the past I've found the KBL to be the better product, I have a bias against thick liquids and powders though. I'll have to take another look and do some testing.

We all have our preferences. Take coco coir for one. I personally can't stand that fucking shit to grow plants in. Hate it. What's my reason? None whatsoever I've had good crops with it but for some reason I just hate the crap.
I loved my results with Flora Nova but that chocolate milk looking crap was a pain in the ass

You know I've only use something like that once. Sunshine mix #4 or something like that. They call them hydroponic cause they don't have soil which is a joke. I'm a flood and drain man nowadays with hydroton but I've done my share with soil.

Pro mix breaks down during the course of your grow due to microbial activity. This makes the consistency much less suited for root growth, drainage, it also changes the water capacity to air ratio so you're not going to be watering the exact same amount based on medium size/weight (ie. lifting the pot to judge) which is another factor especially if you have automated irrigation.
When your medium breaks down it becomes more acidic, it also tends to have a build up of nutrients which is why many people only irrigate with nutrients every 2nd or 3rd watering.
Although I haven't seen an analysis when this medium is breaking down late in flower it's going to be releasing nutrients mostly by way of nitrogen so you don't have complete control over your nutrient profile, N late in flower is especially inconvenient.
On it's own it's a step behind coco it harbors bugs easier, it's more finicky with watering, volume for volume coco will grow more roots and support a larger plant, it degrades probably over 10x quicker than coco, cocos pH is more ideal for plant growth than peat before buffering making it more of a hydroponic medium, coco also holds 20% air when fully saturated so it can't be overwatered, another reason it doesn't harbor bugs as easy as the top layer dries out quickly which is fine because roots don't grow at the very top of your medium and the gnats and what not can't produce in there, coco is also a waste product.
That enough reasons?

Local prices for 4.5kg (big brick) is $20-22+tax but I pay $12 because I know a store owner. Most I pay is a 50% mark up.
He used to load me up on boxes of sample nutrients from HG, AN, etc he would tell me the end game is getting everyone using AN because that's where all the money is. Hehehehe
I forget what that big brick expands to, I think I used 2 for 16 x 2.5 gal pots? 40gal / 20 gal each / 75L ea yeah I think that left me with just a bit of change. Sounds right. So assume 20 gal each and you should be good. I like Botanicare and General Hydroponic brand but have had good luck with MoKoko and even no name brands like BeatsPeat.
