It's kind of trippy because secondary chem/physics is my major and I am collaborating with the engineering students to get high school students into science based careers. Robotics is extremely popular where I am at, so I wanted to start having exhibits at some of the high schools in the lower socio-economic communities. So far, the local electric company is giving us a project and the funds for it. If everything works out, they will be willing to shell out an additional 50k to our project and will pay some of their engineers to help out with events.
The high school I am looking to get hired at is sitting at 26% standard for science. Lots of opportunities in that school. If enough students join these science clubs, the local businesses and state will donate funds for the school's equipment and scholarships for the students.
